I just submitted my loan modification application to my mortgage servicer on December 22 to be eligible for HAMP. They said I am not eligible because I should have applied last August. Is that true?
JA: Because real estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?

Customer: I submitted my application December 22, but they processed it on December 27

No, that is not true. Hamp expires on Dec. 31, the last day of 2016. You should be allowed to have your application go through. Does that answer your question?
