I am sorry to hear about this situation. Can you please tell me:
1) What is the formal reason for the eviction? Non-payment of rent? Abandonment? Something else? Please be specific - the exact verbiage would help.
2) Does your sister have a legal guardian, or, not?
This is not an answer, but an information request. I need this information to answer your question. Please reply, so I can answer your question. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your reply. However, that does not quite answer my question. I need to know:
There is only a few official reasons why a tenant can be evicted. And being "messy" is not one of them. So obviously he is using a different reason (perhaps a material breach of contract based on a clause that she will maintain a subjective standard of cleanliness). And her defense to the eviction would depend on the official reason. This is why I am asking if you can provide the actual verbiage from the notice. Is that possible? Or, perhaps attach a copy of the notice with your reply?
