i already have a divorce lawyer, can i still get a conseltation
JA: Sorry about that. I must have missed it. Could you tell me again?
Customer: i was in committed intimate relation for 13 years. i bought a house about 3 years ago and now my ex is entitled for 50% because of the common law.
JA: Because real estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: Washington.
JA: Has any paperwork been filed?
Customer: yes, and i have a lawyer. but he is more experience in family law part
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: is there something called adjusted market value to calculate the current equity. since the house was foreclosed when we bought it and was a lot cheaper than now? is any rules against consulting you while i have a current lawyer?
