We own two sections of property in 9 mile Falls. We sold one

Customer Question

We own two sections of property in 9 mile Falls Washington. We sold one section. The problem is, one section has the well and the other section has the leach field for the sewer system. My question is it possible to set up a community where they share expenses on the well and on the sewerage. We still own the property with the well but we are selling the house. Can we make it agreement with the owners of the other property that will have to be honored by the people who buy the house?

You could draft an agreement or draft an easement agreement where you articulate the expense sharing. You would want to record the easement with the county clerk who maintains property records.

The key is to record any agreement with the property in the county records.
