I put my deceived mother's house on market and after buyer

I put my deceived mother's house on market for sale and after buyer paid for inspections showed some laundry room damage as a result of wear of 50 yrs roof damage from hail. I filed a claim the day after I learned of this inspection which was only three days before closing on new buyer. Was told I was perfectly within my rights to file a claim by my insurance agent. Now the new buyer thinks they have a claim on my insurance claim check. Do they?
