I have a builder working on my house. I don't think he intends to get a building inspection. What do I need to do?

Are you asking how you get a building inspection or how you compel him to?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can I get a building inspection? He has torn out walls and added a deck already.
Expert:  Olivia Kent replied 1 year ago.
Yes, you can. You don't need to wait for him to do it! I hope that helps :)
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Is there a penalty since he has already started?
Expert:  Olivia Kent replied 1 year ago.
penalty for what?

I'm sorry - I need to log off for the night, but I will be available tomorrow if you have any questions. I'm not sure what your penalty question refers to but there is no penalty of any kind for seeking an inspection. There would only be a penalty for failing to seek an inspection when required - and you can find out when it is required by contacting your town's building inspector. I hope that helps :) Have a good night.
