New construction purchase and sales agreement. Extend closing date for 8 days upon notice given prior to or on date of closing. Closing date 5/2/16. On 4/25/16 notified that date had to be changed to 5/23/16. What legal action do we have?

Good morning. What is the reason for the delay? Why do you no longer want to buy the home? Just trying to get an idea of the situation. Delays in closing are very common, especially with a new construction home, so I am curious why the buyer will not agree and wants to back out
