Customer Question

Wed have not had the C Cr's updated for at least 20 years in my complex. The parking has become a HUGE issue with many homeowners NEEDING to use their garages for storage and other things. What recourse does a homeowner have to challenge the board from enforcing a homeowner to park in their garage when this rule has not been enforced for at least 20 years? It has caused homeowners a great deal of stress, many have had to rent storage, sell exercise equipment etc. There are at LEAST 50-60 open spots every night around the complex. It seems extremely unfair and an outdated rule that does not serve the current needs of the homeowners.

Review your bylaws on how to petition for a change or proceed with a mandate against the board. If they refuse to oblige then a legal remedy would be to seek an injunction in court.

This is very simplistic and not helpful
