Customer Question

Hello, I just moved in to a house for rent in South Nashville for $1600 with one friend in March, we had told them we were considering getting an extra roomate down the line at the beginning. We found a friend that needed a place. Now they want to raise the rent to 1750/mo just to add the new person to the lease/make new lease. Is this legal?

Good morning. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you.

Can you provide me a bit more information? Does your lease contain any provision prohibiting you from adding an additional roommate? Or, does it state that you and your original friend are the only allowable occupants? Thanks.
