A bank, upon my paying off my mortgage would not give my $4,000 escrow money back. They said that it is because
I dropped my home owners policy. I showed that I had proof of no break in my insurance coverage. This was 6 years ago.
Is it too late to do anything about it now. I just heard over the news that the bank is accused of the same thing recently.I AM WAITING FOR AN ANSWER TO ANOTHER QUESTION (CAPITAL GAINS). PLEASE SEND IT LATER. I MUST GOTO BED NOW.

It is not too late to go after the bank for money owed.

You need to file complaint against the bank with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and your Attorney General's Office.
