I have a home I co- own with an exhusband. He is living in

Customer Question

I have a home I co- own with an exhusband. He is living in the home and won't sell. This home is worth 140,000 and paid off. I have left and have been renting for five years. I now want to buy but have no down payment. How can I get the money out of my portion of the first home to buy a home for me?

Good morning. When you divorced, who was the home awarded to? Was the issue discussed as to who will live there and/or if it needed to be sold?

Hi, are you still with me?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The home was not in the divorce. It was bought after when we tried to get back together. I lived in the home the whole time and worked while the home was being paid for. It is now paid off and I would like to purchase another home on my own and use my portion of the home as a down payment
