We purchased one side of a double and found after closing

Customer Question

We purchased one side of a double and found after closing and moving in that it was not built up to code. It does not have a fire wall between the two units. What legal recourse do we have?

Welcome and thank you for your question. Did your contract require the property to be up to code? Did the seller sign any disclosures? If you can attach the contract I would be happy to take a look at it for you. You no doubt have a breach of contract.
