This is my 2nd marriage, Is it right to have my wife added

Customer Question

This is my 2nd marriage, Is it right to have my wife added to the deed of my house and her to keep her condo under her name only. She has a 180,000 mortgage. I'm concerned with the liabilities and my credit with her condo. Question: do I inherit her debt with the condo?
Thank you,

Good afternoon Bob,

I'm Doug, and I'm sorry to hear of the confusion. My goal is to provide you with excellent service today. In order to give you a clear and concise answer, I will need some additional information about the circumstances, please.

You have brought up numerous issues, and the answers depend on a few facts.

1. What state are you in?

2. Why would you add her to your deed if she won;t do the same for you?

3. Did you sign the loan papers on her condo?
