I am recently divorced. My husband was awarded our Fl. Home.

Customer Question

I am recently divorced. My husband was awarded our Fl. Home. My name is ***** ***** the quit claim deed and mortgage. The property is going to be foreclosed. Is it legal for the mortgage holder to only sue my husband. The mortgage holder is an individual not a financial institution and I have been assured I will not be involved in the foreclosure. Is this legally possible?

Good morning. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you.

Can you provide me a bit more information. In your divorce settlement, does it provide for your husband to be liable for the mortgage between the two of you? Thanks.
