I have purchased commercial waterfront property and want to know how the property lines extend over water and who enforces them. I am trying to determine how far the property line extends in respect to my ability to use the water front and if adjacent property owners have to ability to moor vessels on this property.

Did you receive a title insurance policy and/or a survey?

Property was purchased through Stewart Title, a local title company.

You should have a title policy. Do you have a copy of the title policy?

Not in my possession right now. What would I need from the title policy or the survey?

This would tell us where the property lines extend over the water and what mooring rights come with the property. A survey would show us exactly where the property lines are located in relation to the water. As far as enforcement I would be able to tell you by looking at the title policy. If you can attach either I would be able to provide more precise information for your property.
