Trespassing group hurt one of the group by doing something stupid. Land owners were not aware of their being there . Out of sight and about 800 yds.away. are the land owners liable?

Landowners owe very little duty to trespassers (See generally:, in sum, they have an obligation not to create any dangerous obstacles or conditions (so you cannot set up traps, snares, or pits to trap a trespasser), and there are some rules that apply to kids ("attractive nuisance" laws, such as with swimming pools), but for your adult hunting parties, if they were doing something stupid on the land owner's property, they are going to be liable for their own injuries.
