After 35+ years in a rental with no security deposit or list

Customer Question

After 35+ years in a rental with no security deposit or list of issues upon move in what should the tenant be required to do as far as repairs. Doesn't "normal wear and tear" cover most issues after that length of time?

Yes, after that length of time, most items, such as carpeting, appliances, etc, would have exceeded their useful lives. However, there can still be holes in the walls, scratches in the floor, broken cabinets, etc. Those items could be viable claims.
