Mr. Simmons...My wife and I were given a final notice

Customer Question

Hello, Mr. Simmons...My wife and I were given a final notice yesterday for eviction, and said they would come today at 8 am. Due to the weather they did not show. We are renters, and the homeowner...our landlord...did not pay his mortgage and the home was foreclosed on. However our rent is paid in full for the next 8 months and w have our lease, and money order stubs to prove it. We never got any notice of a court date or that we would have to get out of the home. The first thing w have gotten is this eviction notice and notices that the mortgage company kept changing lawyers. I went downtown to the clerk myself and filed motion to stay today will that keep them from putting us out?

Can you tell me, do you have the written lease? If so when was it signed?
