I have a new...

I have a new 6968. I am getting an error message and it won't print. I cannot open the cover to check ink cartridges. I do not believe there is any paper jam.

Technician's Assistant: Is your printer displaying the error on all print jobs, even after you restart it?

Yes. I have restarted it several times, unplugged it and plugged it back in, etc. nothing changes.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the printer driver software?

The printer is brand new. software was installed about 3 weeks ago.
