The print head is locked up.

This happened last week

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?

We use Windows 7 on this machine. Can't really update it.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

Hello,

My name is David.

Since the printer was just recently working, I recommend a power reset as that will drain errors from memory and may resolve the issue. Unplug the printer power cord and unplug all peripherals. Then leave the printer for about 5 minutes to let all power drain. Then plug the printer power cord into a wall socket (not a surge protector or power strip) and then plug the printer back into all peripherals. Then power up the printer and test to see if the issue is resolved.

I was really hoping that it would be that simple. I followed your directions this morning but the print head is still stuck to the right side of the carriage.

When I responded to your email with my results......I was prompted to pay more money. I seemed as if I was going to get charged for every question that I asked.
The Bad rating was not aimed at you as much as it was at the site. I felt like I was being held up.
The next person explained that this wasn't the case and that he would answer as many questions as were needed. He also agreed that remote access to my computer was more than likely not going to take care of the issue.
