My printer head won't align after repeated tries.

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your printer?

HP Officejet 5740

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your OfficeJet?

Last few days. My daughter bought the wrong kind of ink, but that has been corrected.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?

It may not be as current as it should be, but I don't know how to fix it.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

Not that I know of...and that is a literal answer.

No. In fact, when I just tried to print a 1 page piece, the screen light on the printer turned off, the printer didn't make a sound, and only the little blue light to the wifi is on now.
How long might this take? I'm getting sleepy, and tomorrow sounds better to me; however, this is my first time doing this and I don't know if there are time deadlines.
