I have an HP...

I have an HP Pavilion Desktop 6MG memory. I accidentally erased my D partition which had my boot info. It was originally windows 7 then I downloaded Windows 10 upgrade. I am on a different computer right now - obviously - and then question I have is can HP reload my PC with Windows 7.?

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Pavilion? What have you tried so far?

I tried to restart

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?

Our electricity went out so the PC shut dow and when I turned it back on I get the message...Insert boot disk. Of course when I bought the refurbished PC from HP it was preloaded so I do not have a boot disk. I should have made a disk on the CD but did not.

If the recovery partition is not deleted you can restore the system but all data in the OS partition will be deleted.

If you have important data in the disk I recommend to make a backup of the hard drive, if not I can guide you in the process.

If the recovery partition is damaged or deleted you need to clean install the OS.
