I have not updated it since i got it in november I'm not very tech savy, needless to say

The laptop is a Toshiba and the printer is an HP officejet Pro 7740

Ok, has the printer worked on the Toshiba before?

it is waiting for the Toshiba to connect with it

Ok, now on the Toshiba, Click start, type in Control and click on control panel.

Then type in the search there

Devices

and click on devices and printers

Then click on Add printer

When it shows, click on it to allow it to install

It does not show my printer. Just a bunch of ones used previously on this computer.

ok, then it is not on the network

Put the installation disk in from the printer please and run the installation.

This will connect it to the wifi networks as one of the steps

I put the disc in now what?

Now run the installation from the disk please and it will tell you what to click on in the windows that show.

trying to go back and forth is messing with what we're doing.

You will see it at the bottom of the screen, as a setup icon

I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services.
