Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your printer?

HP Officejet 7612

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your OfficeJet?

About a week. I would press ok and it still worked. Will not will not work at all

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?

When I open the printer, the cartridges do not slide like they normally do, they are sitting on the right side May be stuck

Yes. We have not accepted the remote service, since the issue is with the printer hardware. You will not be charged for the service.

If it is more than one year, it must be put of warranty.

Hi,

It is better to purchase a new printer. Unfortunately, except for business-grade workgroup printers, few modern printers are repairable, and fewer are worth repairing. Most printers are now manufactured to a "replace not repair" standard. To understand why this is the case, consider the cold, hard, real-world cost of repairing a printer. There's a two hour shop time minimum charge, with technician time at $US 100/hour. Then add parts - figure a $US 50 minimum for parts. The minimum cost of having a printer repaired is $US 250.
