The paper will not...

The paper will not feed through the printer, and there is no paper jam. I printed something yesterday morning, and it was fine, but in the afternoon the paper would not go through.

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your printer?

Canon Pixma MP160

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Pixma?

Two days, I think - very recently

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?

I don't know - I did not think it was the driver

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

This is the second printer like this that we bought - the fist one had similar problems, We had been using this one for several years.

I think it is a mechanical problem, not a software problem. I am not sure that a remote connection would help. I have had a bad experience in the past with a remote connection which was a scam. How will I know this is safe?

I do not want to pay any more money. Will I be charged the $31 if it is not fixed? I was hoping for advice! When I first signed up, I thought you were the Canon company!

if we use teamviewer you dont have to spend more, its a free software

I had trouble reconnecting to the internet, and the printer driver installation failed. I had to restart the computer again, and it took forever, so I did it manually. Then the driver installed properly. I have not tried it yet.

When I pressed the printer start button, the printer tried to feed paper and it didn't work. I tried to print a document, and it kept converting to a PDF format, and another, and another, and wanting me to save each one. It used to only do this once. It did not even try to print, even when I pressed the printer reset button. It is almost midnight here in Atlantic Canada- can we end this soon? It still isn't working! - NSL
