I have a Canon...

I have a Canon TS5060. Printing works fine, but scanning will no longer operate (it used to). Trying to open Cannon Utilities U Scan Utility gives the error message 9,230,0 "A scanner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install and try again." I cannot find these error codes in the manual. I have the original installation CD. What should I do?

Technician's Assistant: Is there an error code on your TS5060 when you try to scan?

No. When I try to use the menu on PC, the scanning function is not offered. When I try to operate from the printer-scanner, and press start, the device says "processing" but eventually reverts to the previous screen.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the printer driver software?

Not at all - printer about 6 months old.
