I have a PIXMA MX 880 all-in-one printer. I lost mt hard drive an think I restored the drivers. It will not work

I just restored data to my hard drive yesterday

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on the computer or device you're printing from?

Yesterday. I tried to install from the Canon disk but I received a message the the driver were in use anf the install would not go further

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?
