Second opinion] Just replaced my colour cartridge and telling me I needs replacing. Have shut off printer and still telling me to replace

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your printer?

My Kodak ESP 7250 is still telling me to replace ink after I just did. I shut down the printer and started again also reinserted cartridge and still giving me the same message

Try starting up the printer with no color cartridge in it, from a power-Off state, that way.

Then wait for it to say, 'color cartridge needed', or equivalent message.

Then put in the color cartridge.

Did you place a fingertip on the electrical contacts on the color cartridge at any time after you removed the protective tape from the cartridge in preparation for installing the cartridge ?
