I got a new...

I got a new HP laptop and can't seem to get the scan feature on my Epson XP-430 to activate on the laptop. The printer connects ok but need help connecting scanner.

Technician's Assistant: Is there an error code on your XP-430 when you try to scan?

When I press the scan on the printer it says there is a communication error. On my last laptop I had a scanner icon and it worked great. Frustrated with this one.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the printer driver software?

I thought I did it recently but maybe not. Should I try that?

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

That's the only issue I have at this time.

Can I just download the latest software and do it myself. Don't trust connecting remotely with all that goes on these days.
