Oh Pearl, if you can help, you are an Angel! I had a 20-year-old Sharp fax which a few weeks ago could send faxes but not receive. I changed my faxing to my brand new Epson XP-860 printer/copier/scanner/fax and the same thing is happening. I can send but cannot receive. One friend tried 3 times and with his third try it came through. Another friend tried and could not get through. What could be wrong since both faxes have the same problem. My Epson screen shows the blue 'Auto" symbol because I have auto receive switched on. Oh I hope you can help, please. Nearly all my clients order by fax.

Technician's Assistant: Are your device's other functions (printing, copying, scanning, etc.) working fine?

I do not copy or scan with it, but printing is working fine.

Technician's Assistant: When did this fax issue begin?

It happened with my old fax a few weeks ago, but I connected my Epson to the fax line only yesterday.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?
