It has been unplugged for 24 hours and when I reconnected it... same as before .. blue light flashing and note tp contact service centre.

Could you please tell me where exactly the blue light is flashing?

It is flashing in the "Copy" rectangle front left of printer
  1. Turn the printer off
  2. Press and hold the STOP button for 3 seconds.
  3. Then press the ON button and release the STOP button.
  4. While holding the ON button, press the STOP button 5 times.
  5. Release all buttons.
  6. LCD Screen should turn on and be blank. After a minute or better turn the printer off once more.

Try doing this and let me know what happens.

I followed all those instructions, and turned it off. I then waited a while and turned it on again..... ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE the error began flashing again as did the blue light in the "Copy" rectangle.... Satisfaction Nill !

In this case I will opt-out and allow another expert to take over. Other experts will be able to see this question and the conversation which you had with me and they will be providing you a proper solution. Thank you for your patience.
