I have an Office...

I have an Office Jet Pro 8500A. Suddenly the printer no longer produces true colors (basically blue is gone, and, as a consequence, so is green). I've tried cleaning the printheads, but that does not work. Neither did a new set of color cartridges.

Technician's Assistant: Are you getting any error messages? If so, what do they say?

No error messages at all.

Technician's Assistant: The last time you changed your cartridges, did you replace them with new ones or refill the old ones?

They were new ones. But I put in a new set today that I just purchased. Still doesn't work.

I went through the automatic routine (all three phases). It did not change the color problem and did not lessen the black/yellow streaking.

Can you remove the ink from the printer then power it off.

then using a Q-Tip with cleaning alcohol (or warm water if you do not have any), clean out the areas where the ink goes in.

Then use a damp cloth and wipe down the inside of the printer.

Once done, let it dry for 10 minutes

Then put the ink back in, power it on and tell me if it then prints correctly please

This will also allow you to see if any foreign objects are in the printer which may cause this.
