I have a Canon...

I have a Canon printer MF4500 Series. I recently upgraded my computer from a 11 year old Mac to a new MacBook Pro. Now I can't print anything. A computer message said that I need to install a Canon 4500 something in order to activate my printer. How do I do this?

Technician's Assistant: How are you connecting to your MF4500: wirelessly or by USB?

Currently, USB, although I have wi fi available.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the printer driver software?

I downloaded the suggested two items and I still couldn't print. My Canon MF4500 series printer goes directly into "pause" every time I attempt to print something. Tired of fighting it--and needing a dependable printer for my small business--I'm both at the end of my rope, and . prepared to go out and purchase a new printer. We tried and I'm sorry you couldn't help me. Please see that there is no charge to my card.
