I have connected an old lexmark printer to my windows 10 laptop- the scan works great so the computer is talking to the printer no problem but testpage wont print

Technician's Assistant: Is there an error code on your Lexmark printer when you try to scan?

Scan works only physical printer gives me an error

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update the printer driver software?

I think it installed correct, it shows me the print queue i see the test page in the queue just fails to print

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

There error I get is lexmark Communication Not Available

Scanner works fine, with MS Scan, so its connected right
just wont print test page Lexmark communication error - I set the port to USB1 scan works

Did you try downloading drivers for printer from website or did you install using built-in Windows drivers?
