My printer suddenly went...

My printer suddenly went off WiFi for some unknown reason. Attempts to reconnect always fail, although the correct Network Key is used. Even my daughter cannot get it to accept the WiFi connection.

Re XP410. Model C462K. Purchased August 2014, For some reason this printer has gone off WiFi and all attempts to reconnect it have failed, even though the correct Network Key is used. Does the WiFi expire after 3years?

Run a speed test on your iPad...let me know your bandwidth

(just Google speedtest and run a speed test on the iPad)...I want to know your internet speed

Unplug the power cable from the back of the wireless printer...let it sit for 2 minutes

Plug it back in...power it on...try again...give me the results

Nothing has changed in the 3 years since it was installed. There is a microwave between the 2 of them, but it has always been there. Yes, I will let you finish up with other client.

Well I tried to print something from the iPad. However as usual no air printers found. As I mentioned, the printer cannot be reconnected to WiFi for some unknown reason.

Well you can try to bypass the router entirely and go wireless direct via these instructions

I have a different Network and password ***** on my printer. I did not put it there. When I went to change my iPad in Settings, I was warned that this will delete all network settings, returning them to factory default. Do I really want to do that?

Instead go on your Epson directly...have the Epson scan for wireless signals...and see if it picks up your Router signal

It just won’t accept the Network Key, which is correct, small caps, everything. It always says fail to security key/password *****

You are probably putting in the wrong password...don't use the router wireless password....use the "printer password"

print a test page directly on the printer (you will see it there) if you read all the pages

I have a handful of these printed out Network Status sheets. Yes, I have been using the router Network Key, and I keep getting a fail. I tried using the Security thing on the printout, but no, that wasn’t it either.
How else can I find the Printer security key?

Didn’t even know there was such a thing. Makes sense to me that the Network Key should be the thing to use, since we are trying to get on the WiFi Network ...

No problem...you would probably have to hard code an IP address and hard code a password ***** make this work (more steps)...which may or may not work

Just buy another one
