MY HP DESK JET 2312 DOES NOT PRINT I HAVED TRIED ALL THE ON LINE SOLUTIONS WITH NO LUCK MY PRINTER HAS BEEN OFF FOR 7 MONTHS COULD THE INK BE BAD THE INK LEVEL IS OK

NOTHING WE WERE GONE AND WHEN I TRIED TO PRINT I GOT A BLANK PAGE WITH A FEW STRAIGHT LINES

Before we proceed with any troubleshooting,please once unplug your printer from the wall outlet wait for 2 minutes and plug it back in.
Let me know when this is done.

It's done if the Incas bad why don't I just changed the ink

How about the ink levels and if the printer has been idle we may try cleaning the print-head to check the status.

The dampers filled with ink, but I noticed there was very little ink in the lines between the captops and pump. I continued to use the printer. The black jet issue was not resolved and continued to get worse. The black and cyan began getting overspray. About 2 weeks ago, I replaced the black/cyan head and did all alignment and all jets are firing. I still didn't see ink in the tubes between the captops and pump, so I replaced the pump. Still no ink in tubes after captops. I had 2 dampers that came with the new head, so I installed them on the black and magenta just to see if it would make a difference. I tried to fill ink and the dampers won't fill. It doesn't look like I am getting any ink to any of the dampers. Could the captops that I installed earlier be bad? … read more
