I recently had Windows...

I recently had Windows 10 install its latest upgrade. I can no longer scan using my Epson WF-3540. It appears that the program ABBYY may have been loaded with the upgrade. When I opened it, I got a "dangerous program" alert. I uninstalled it and still can't use the scanner. It was working fine before the latest Windows 10 upgrade. Thanks.

Technician's Assistant: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?

Epson WF-3540. Less than 2 years old

Technician's Assistant: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

PC; OptiPlex 380. It's old. Using Windows 10

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

Issue just started with the latest upgrade (I assume) of Windows 10. Within the last 3-4 days

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

No, the printer has been working fine. I just can't scan now.

Not sure why but it just started working. I was able to get one scan but the second test didn't work. Window says "Cannot read temporary image files. Editing page will close."
