Canon MP480 has this message: Ink absorber almost full

Technician's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?

It says clearly Canon MP 480. Bottom has a plate with a million numkbers and chinese writing. It is pretty old maybe 2008. It scans, copies and prints

Technician's Assistant: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

Mac 10.6.8

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

2 days ago--printed a photo from iphoto. Lets me print if I override the instruction to contact a cannon service center. On line manuel says nothing about ink aborbers

I no longer want your help[. Please refund my credit card. 18$ is a scam. Printer is worth less than that.

NO I spoke to Canon directly free of charge. I also called Amex to flag my account and dispute your charge if you actually post it. You indicated a $5 refundable charge if you could help. An extra charge if you provided a fix. You did neither. The real answer is even if there is a fix it would be cheaper and better to but a new printer.
