What the error is, determines what to do about it. If it is a new printer, and you have set it up according to instructions, then if it says 'printhead error', double-check that you removed packing inserts from inside the printer - and if it can't be blamed on that, the printer is defective from the vendor or store and you should pack it up again, inform them by phone at once about the defective status and the error code it showed, and ask for a return-and-exchange arrangement. (Leave this message, regardless of the hour, to get the notice 'delivered' to the vendor or store as soon as possible.) Then return it to the store and get a refund, or an exchange for another printer - in working condition! - of the same model or same capabilities and value.
