I have a Maxify...

I have a Maxify MB2060. One colour ran out of ink , removed the ink tank , didn't have a replacement, closed up the printer without re-installing the old ink tank. Forgot to get a replacement ink tank. Some days later I used the printer, had difficulties, but finally got it to print. Realised that I hadn't replaced the ink tank, tried to install new ink tank, but the ink carriage would not move across to allow the fitting of the new ink tank. I live in Frankston 3199, Victoria. Please advise

Message that I had run out of ink, colour Cyan.

No the printer was working without any problems, before the ink issue.
