I am getting an...

I am getting an error message code C000 on my Pixma 6460, and it is not printing.

Technician's Assistant: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?

The code comes up on the printer screen, and it advises to cancel print, power off, and then power on again. I

Technician's Assistant: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

Windows 7. on HP

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

Only started this morning, during a small run of printing. The machine became very noisy and finished printing, but then stopped.

I'm sorry about the issue, Please follow these steps for isolating and resetting the printer:

1. Open the printer's front cover, and then open and close the print head lock lever (do not remove the print head).

2. Make sure all ink tanks are seated properly.

3. Make sure all packing materials have been removed.

4. Make sure no paper is jammed in the printer.

5. Disconnect the printer cable from the printer.

6. Close the front cover and turn the printer off.

7. Unplug the printer from the power source, and then plug it back in after five minutes.

8. Power on the printer.

9.Try to print.
