I have an error code 0x9D. WF- 3540. 2 days. I have checked

JA: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Yes
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: WF- 3540
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: 2 days. I have checked paper etc. Before this it said I was low on ink. I replaced those cartidges.
JA: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have turned the printer off and on several times and waited a day and did it again now. I still have the error message

Please remove all of the ink cartridges from the printer then insert them back firmly into the carriage and close the lid.


With the printer powered on, remove the power cord from the back.

Is this a hardware issue in the printer?

Unfortunately, the error that you are experiencing is an internal failure which would require repair/replacement. The bad news is that your printer is outside of warranty and it would cost more to repair the printer than to buy a new one. You can purchase a new one for around $50-$60 at a local electronics store such as Best Buy.
