My Epson XP-410 is...

My Epson XP-410 is not printing my documents that I have printed many previous times. It did print a new document. What is going on?

Technician's Assistant: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?

It is an Epson XP-410. About a year old, if that.

Technician's Assistant: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

PC Win. 10

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

My printer was out of ink. I have replaced the ink and made other copies of new documents, but my old ones won't print?

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?

It makes no sense that it will print one thing and not another.

This is difficult to follow with all the other stuff asking for money. Can't you simply tell me what is wrong with an old document that the printer would not respond to it?

Since my printer ran out of ink. I put in new ink and it will not print the old document I was originally trying to print.

on the computer, open control panel...devices and printers

right click on printer icon and click on troubleshoot

follow onscreen prompts

once troubleshooter has finished let me know

ok..now please open the document that is not getting printed

click on print option

once the print dialog opens, check if the printer listed is epson xp410 or something else

No. It does the print. But the paper comes out blank.

please click on file menu and select save as option

save the file with a different name and then try to print it

let me know if it prints or not

open a new blank document and type few lines of text and try to print it

got it. please follow the below epson recommended head cleaning steps on the printer

  1. Press the home button
  2. Press the left or right arrow buttons to select Setup and press the OK button.
  3. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select Maintenance and press the OK button.
  4. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select Head Cleaning and press the OK button.
  5. Press the start button to begin the cleaning cycle
  6. once the cleaning completes, print the nozzle check pattern

I have already done all that. It printed other stuff fine. It just won't print from my documents. And just now it wouldn't print what you asked me. It goes through all the motions and ejects a blank page.

on the computer , open control panel, programs and features

locate the microsoft office software and right click on it and click repair

problem could be either with the printer driver or ms word

when did you change the ink? i believe the problem started only after changing inks

I changed the ink Saturday--yesterday. And it hasn't been right since.

we can try a system restore to a date before the inks were changed

you can reopen this chat from justanswer email

follow the steps below

in the windows search box, type rstrui and open system restore\create a restore point option from search results

once the restore window opens, restore the computer to an earlier date and time before the inks were changed

once complete, try printing from word and let me know

system restore does not to a factory reset, it just restores the settings to the date when computer was working fine
