I'm trying to type Annette asterisk for a cannon printer

Customer Question

I'm trying to type Annette asterisk for a cannon printer passphrase
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: I don't know. It's about 3 years old.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac--version 10.12.6 Sierra
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I wanted to see what home network (name) we were using.
JA: Anything else you want the Printer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I'm at the stage to enter the asterisk since other characters have been already added. I just need this one character.
