JA: What's the exact make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Kodak Verite 5, Christmas present.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

Can you please first let me know what exactly you are trying to do? Usually, a printer icon does not make a lot of sense because you select the printer from the application you want to print from. Why exactly do you need a link to it on the start bar?
