I have an Epson XP520 printer. It is connected to my Dell

Customer Question

I have an Epson XP520 printer. It is connected to my Dell computer. I frequently check the ink levels by clicking on printer properties and have always been able to see the result. But recently I have received an error messages stating ink levels cannot be displayed because Epson Status Monitor 3 is not enabled, and printer information cannot be acquired.
JA: Is your XP520 displaying the error on all print jobs, even after you restart it?
Customer: No. I am able to print letters, diagrams, etc. as usual.
JA: When did you last update the printer driver software?
Customer: Cannot remember. However, I think I was using an earlier version of Windws. I have updated to Windows 10. While trying to solve the problem I did click restore default settings.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Under Series Properties, Main a diagram shows printer information cannot be acquired. Also, under Maintenance I have tried to check the item Epson Status Monitor 3 but without success.
