I have an old Canon Pixma MX850 Printer. After I print a few pages it starts to miss lines and I will need to deep clean the printer head twice and it only last for a few pages printed and then it happens again. Is this fixable or do I need to get a new printer
JA: What kind of computer or device are you printing from?
Customer: Dell Inspiron with Vistwindows, I am doing printing from Microsoft Office when this happens.
JA: How long has this been going on with your Pixma?
Customer: 2 or 3 months
JA: When did you last update the Operating System (OS) on your jo-1013
Customer: I don't know what you mean, not very computer literate
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That seems to be my problem, hope you are able to help me?

Hello!

Please try the following and let me know the response.

Remove all the ink cartridges from the machine.
Then clean the contacts on the cartridges as well as inside the machine itself. Inside means the printhead where the cartrdige seats.
Do this with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab.

If any of the cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging replace them.

Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 5 minutes.
Plug it back it and wait for the insert cartridges message.
Insert the cartridges and check to see if the problem is still there.
