What type of connection are you using to connect the printer to the PC?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Are UBC cord
Expert:  Sudipto replied 3 months ago.

UBC or USB cord?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I''ve been scammed with remote connection. I'm not comfortable with that. I'm also 76 and not a super duper computer nerd.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I don't know the difference between UBC and USB
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I'm assuming USB since that's what the manual says and I used cord that came in the box.
Expert:  Sudipto replied 3 months ago.

OK, I can understand your fear, nowadays so many scammers are there that, genuine support site like us face this problem due to their scams. No problem, see there are two types of codes are used to connect the printer, one is USB cord and another is Ethernet cable, if you use the USB cord, you connect the printer directly to the computer otherwise, you have to connect the printer to the wireless router or modem.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
USB - direct connection it is
Expert:  Sudipto replied 3 months ago.

Thanks, ***** ***** have installed the printer software before connecting the printer to the PC or after connecting it?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I don't remember. I may have connected printer and then installed software.
Expert:  Sudipto replied 3 months ago.

my credit card froze account because of your charge...saying fraud alert. I'm trying to reach them
Expert:  Sudipto replied 3 months ago.

Yes, that is the security feature of every bank due to so much online fraud, if you try to pay more than once in a short interval, the bank does not approve the payment, unless you call them and ask them to approve it.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Bank said you have to resubmit charge.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
