JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: brother, HL-3170CDW, less than a year
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac osx
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I installed new toner

remove the cartridge and check the packaging tape and seal and then install it back.

Try printing a test page from the printer driver software from the printer and preferences icon.
