MY MX472 gives the error message "please wait a while" It

Customer Question

MY MX472 gives the error message "please wait a while" It does print and make copies. It used to scan just fine.
JA: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Canon MX472 purchased November 2014.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC - Windows 10 - very new computer, but it did scan after I purchased it recently.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I haven't scanned in a few weeks. I did have a paper jam recently and turned off the computer. I cleared the jam.
JA: Is there anything else the Printer Technician should be aware of?
Customer: No.
